Our next level tailored machines are static systems than can interact with objects in a predefined environment. Automation of this interaction becomes more difficult when the objects can have a high level of variability (different shapes, outlook or material properties). Detection and handling of variable objects has no secrets for us.
Our machines are tailor made offering an optimal solution for a specific use case. We do this by designing the solution from scratch towards specifications and selecting the right technology for each system. Using standard components where possible and developing new technologies where needed.
Using this unique approach, we often come up with new concepts that can handle the variable objects in a much more robust and consistent way.
A dedicated measurement setup to quantify wafer characteristics is one of our examples of our tailor made machine.
ART Robotics developed this machine to accurately fixate fragile wafers with variable size using custom developed vacuum grippers. We designed this subsystem from scratch and optimized it to apply a uniform force on the surface.
Linear axis with encoder allows to apply high forces in a controlled way and provide accurate measurements. Furthermore the setup is designed to be compact, ergonomic and safe to operate.
Plug and play software allows to easily configure and run measurements, including automated analysis and report generation.
